What Was So Special?

"This image touches my heart as I remember the feelings on this day before the husband left for military assignment.  It was a very special time as this family enjoyed their last moments together even including the family dog.  It is a challenge to work with a large pet and create an image where everyone is peaceful and happy.  My years of experience and love of both animals and children have greatly helped me to develop some techniques which work remarkably well.  I chose a soft outdoor backdrop by the bay with the warmth of the setting sun to add to their feelings of love for each other.  It allowed them to be the entire focus of this wonderful and relaxed image which will always be treasured."
